HTML 5 Just Came to Dreamweaver CS5
Today, Adobe
announced the release of an extension for
Dreamweaver CS5 to support
HTML 5 and
CSS 3 (at least a "set of currently implemented features"). If you have already upgraded to Dreamweaver CS5 (
compare prices), you can go to Adobe Labs and
download this extension. I have barely begun to play with my review copy of Dreamweaver CS5, but this extension looks like it will make it even more fun. It adds things like:
- HTML 5 code hinting
- Some CSS 3 code hinting (2D/3D transformations, animations, background and border, UI, line layout, marquee, and a few others)
- Live view will support <video> and <audio> tags
- Multiscreen preview of 3 different screen sizes
- There are even some HTML 5 starter layouts in the New Documents dialog box
