Nested tables or including one table inside another used to be a lot more common on web pages when people used tables for layout. But most people find them difficult to maintain and so avoid them. However if you have a complex spreadsheet of tabular data that you want to display on a web page, it can be tempting to use nested tables to get the format you need. If you do, you should be aware that nested tables affect download speed.
