Obviously, my answer to this poll is “yes”, but not everyone does. I find polls to be a great way to generate some interaction with my community. In fact, I have referred to polls as user-generated-content-“lite”. This is because polls are easy to answer, don’t take a lot of time or energy, and they don’t feel as intrusive as other types of content collection can be (like reviews and feedback or comment forms). Someone who might never fill out a comment on a website might be willing to click on a poll response.
