CSS3 offers a lot of new features that make web design a lot more exciting and interesting. Rounded corners are a lot easier with the border-radius property. You can make borders more interesting with the border-image property. There are ways to create shadows on your boxes and text with the box-shadow and text-shadow properties. You can work with multiple layered background images and and create multi-column layouts with CSS3. There are also new attribute selectors and pseudo classes to select more specific items in your design. And CSS3 also offers opacity with the opacity property and with RGBa colors. Plus lots more.
