While there are lots of things you can do to speed up your web pages, the biggest problem most new web designers (and some experienced ones, too) have is with images that are huge. Cameras these days take photos that are large enough to print as posters. And many designers simply upload the original image to their website and resize it with the width and height style properties (or HTML attributes).
