Padding is the space inside an element on all four sides that sets the content apart from the
border. When you are playing with your
layout and trying to get your pages to look good, chances are you will want to add space around your elements, as
white space improves readability. By understanding what padding is, you can start to understand how your content moves around in the white space surrounding it.
