Web Design Books I'm Looking Forward To
 |
I'm really looking forward to Mark Pilgrim's new O'Reilly book (coming out in June 2010) HTML5: Up and Running (Compare Prices for pre-order). I like his writing style, and it looks like it's going to have some great information in it. Check out the sample chapter on HTML 5 video for a preview.
Another fun one coming out in June is Head First WordPress by Jeff Siarto (Compare Prices for pre-order). The Head First books are all fun to read because they have lots of pictures and are great for the visually oriented learners among us. If you're managing anything in WordPress, then this book will surely be interesting when it comes out.
If you can't wait until June, there is an interesting looking book coming out about targeting Web pages and sites to specific audiences called Audience, Relevance, and Search: Targeting Web Audiences with Relevant Content (May 10, 2010) by James Mathewson, Frank Donatone, and Cynthia Fishel (Compare Prices for pre-order). This looks to be a great book for people who write content for Web pages.
Is May still too far out? I know what you mean! Here are some other books that are coming out sooner that I'm looking forward to:
- April 12, 2010: Professional WordPress by Hal Stern, David Damstra, and Brad Williams (Compare Prices)
- April 5, 2010 Sams Teach Yourself ActionScript 3 in 24 Hours by Phillip Kerman (Compare Prices)
- Out Now! Learning Web Design: A Beginner's Guide to (X)HTML, StyleSheets, and Web Graphics by Jennifer Niederst Robbins (Compare Prices)
