Web Design Software Pick of the Week: Firebug
 |

When I was looking for a tool for this week's pick, I was staring at my browser and noticed the Firebug icon. Then I thought, "I can't use that, I'm sure I've suggested it before." But surprisingly, I hadn't. Firebug is a Web development tool that helps you inspect HTML and modify the styles of a page right away. You can also debug JavaScript and analyze your network performance, and even more with extensions. Firebug is an extension for the Firefox browser. But if you use other browsers like Internet Explorer or Safari or Opera, you can use Firebug Lite - a JavaScript script you install in your pages to test them in those browsers. There is even a Firebug Lite bookmarklet (drag that link to your browser toolbar to use it). This is a tool I use all the time, I can't believe I hadn't mentioned it before now.
