Who has the best product page design on the Web today?
 |
Product pages may seem easy to create because they have one very clear purpose: sell a product (or service). But pages that are designed with too much emphasis on the "Buy Now" button are annoying and drive customers away. And pages that don't provide enough space to describe the product aren't well designed either. But some companies do it right. In 2009, Ikea won the award for best product page. Their pages are simple and clean and provide enough information without overwhleming the customers. Other sites that were nominated last year include Netflix, Apple, and the NHL Shop.
But just because they were nominated last year doesn't mean they should be this year. What sites do you think show the best of product marketing in their Web design? Nominate the Best Product Page. Only the 5 most popular sites will make it to the voting stage. So if you really like a site, you should get as many people as possible to nominate it.
