You probably think you know what a font is
Technically, what most people think of as "font" is actually a font family. Fonts are the entire combination of the style, family, size,
and everything else about a typeface. But once you understand font families as they are used in Web design, you'll have a headstart in building your Web pages so that they look good no matter who is viewing them. Or at least so that the fonts will look correct.
