A lot of people don’t realize that a full site template comes complete with HTML files and sub pages. All that a buyer needs to do is add content, and that’s it! There’s actually no need to fiddle with the source files. They are included if you need to further customize the layout, or would like to add new graphics. Otherwise, you can just load your HTML files onto a WYSIWYG editor and add your text.
Before making a purchase, make sure to view the content pages available with the template. A lot of customers miss to check this out, finding out later that the sub pages aren’t exactly what they wanted. Also, make sure that the navigation menu can be reduced. Nobody wants to be forced to create content for pages he did not intend to place on his website.
Lastly, make sure that the layout is just right for the amount of content you will place – but is flexible enough that it can expand downwards if you need to place additional content. Some people make the mistake of buying a gorgeous template only to find out later that their lengthy copywriting can’t fit in! |
